i am still trying to get town water and natural gas into my development.

I remember when my former brother in law went hippie in Yreka, Calif, and built a log cabin as a place to live and enjoy his pot, he complained mightily about the utility cost. He ended up with spring water on a pump, no phone until cells came in, solar water and electricity.

In California, it's always about getting water. The whole Mission Viejo/El Toro area I spent 40 years in came about when Ross Cortese built "Leisure World" and paid to get a water company going. Once the pipe came in, the place exploded.
