Pneumonia. Miss M is now recovering after a day
on antibiotics. Nearly hospitalized, she is
drinking better and eating a little bit now.
That was a very unpleasant week (or more) for
all of us. She just turned five, and man,
irrational five year olds are just as bad as
irrational two year olds I can tell you.

Interestingly, the physician did not
hear anything from the lungs to suspect a
serious infection, and she was not coughing
up colorful chunks. After blood work, and
another day of high fever, the decision was
finally made to x-ray her chest. Sure enough,
the upper portion of one lung was badly
infected.
