Even Hillary is coming around to Republican thinking in Iraq. All three of you wanted U.S. soldiers to leave Iraq asap, whether or not the job was done. Bush has said repeatedly that leaving before the job is done or giving a target withdrawal date would be giving a green light to the terrorists. All three of you believe that Iraq is unwinnable. Current events are proving you wrong, as over 60% of Iraqis braved terrorists to cast their vote for a free and democratic Iraq. Now Hillary Clinton, the leader of the liberals, is now coming around to the same conclusions as Bush with respect to Iraq. The only question left is will you three admit that you were and are wrong? Will you admit that Iraq is winnable and that we are winning? Will you admit that we can't pull our troops out until the job is done? Will you admit that Democracy is starting to flower in the Middle East because of our aggressive posture in that part of the world? I don't expect you to admit being wrong, but it would signal your humility and reasonableness. ---------------------------- Iraq Withdrawal Date Would Be Mistake-Sen. Clintonstory.news.yahoo.com Sun Feb 20, 1:36 PM ET WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Setting a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq (news - web sites) would offer a "green light" to the insurgency there and could undermine the fledgling Iraqi government, U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (news - web sites) said on Sunday. "I think it would be a mistake," she said on NBC's "Meet the Press" program. "We don't want to send a signal to the insurgents, to the terrorists, that we are going to be out of here at some date certain."
