jesse,

Re:
Always remember: Our situation is so desperate that our leaders felt they had nothing to lose by murdering 3,000 of their own citizens on 9/11.

We are in agreement that 9/11 was an inside job. Where we might differ is nuanced. There was no sense of desperation among the PNAC planners of the "New Pearl Harbor". They've repeatedly refered to 9/11, the Madrid bombing on 3/11/04 and similar tragedies as "opportunities". The Bushites don't operate from a position of desperation. Rather, they go from strength to strength, knowing that human tragedies such as 9/11 can do wonders for "Daddy Warbucks" profiteering. Are they concerned about population control? Probably not, or at most peripherally, when it comes to impoverishing and neutering a native population such as the attrition campaign currently being waged against the Iraqi people. As long as the Iraqis can be parted from their oil, they will probably be left in a state of angry isolation.

Other than that, I found you post quite interesting. And I think we agree on very much of it. I do like playing the "devil's advocate" with things such as Huber & Mills new book. They do make some valid points in an overall absurd case for future of our energy system. :)
