darfott, Thanks for sharing your erudition about the futures markets, differentiating between sweet and sour crudes and your generally useful observations. I agree with much of what you suggest. Except we'll probably have to agree to disagree about your insistence the "the invisible hand" is guiding this whole operation. I'm inclined to seeing the market reacting to what the publicists and their naive audiences call "conspiracy theories" and the sophisticated call "corporate planning being executed". :) Cheerio!
