For all his dishonesty and carefully "nuanced" lies -- because Bill Clinton and Hillary both loved power so much -- Clinton turned out surprisingly to be quite a "centrist." I didn't like him, but his policies were certainly much more benign in retrospect, now that we've had 4 years of Bush.

Oh, COME OFF IT, PT! What partisan crap! I just gave you an example where he was doing precisely what you criticize Bush for and it's just wonderful with you?

Fact of the matter is our nation was better off with Clinton then; than it is today with Bush in. I think even you'd agree with this.
What color are your eyes? That was a BUBBLE, bubba! Economically, it is the most destructive thing known. You're lucky to be getting off as lightly as you are.

Come on, you're too smart not to recognize that for what it was. Have you heard of 1929? Well, you got a repeat of the '20s in the '90s. Blazing blue-sky optimism beyond any possibility of realization. Are you serious? Huge amounts of wealth got poured into non-productive enterprises. Did you actually READ any of the prospectuses for the dot-bombs? South Sea Bubble all over again.

I'm too far to the left to have ever been a big fan of Clinton. You know that!
Yeah, Commissar, we know that. We know what happened to your economic system, too, Commissar.
