That is a very good question. If there is not a 'greater' definition that is external and objective -- then what is 'wrong' is simply relative. Why should you insist that lying is wrong or that taking someone else's property is wrong or anything else -- maybe it is just your definition??

You may retort that I should get real -- 'everyone' knows and agrees that those things are wrong, but this is not true of all cultures on the planet ...

Again, you've asked a good question, do you have the courage to consider it thoughtfully. Is there some kind of objective standard or not ... deep down, I think most people do know that there is and that it is external, it is higher than just what you or I 'think.'
