Searle,

Re: Anyway, as long as you didn't expect to find the truth in the US media,

The American mainstream media (MSM) is a total fraud. It's just about dead.

lewrockwell.com

The bloggers have made MSM irrelevant to anyone interested in the truth. Or rather, bloggers have rushed into an information void created by a fraudulent, whorish MSM.

"In war, the first casualty is the truth. Did you expect this time would be different? Anyway, as long as you didn't expect to find the truth in the US media, as Phil apparently did."

I'm glad you qualified that with the word "apparently", but of course, you are yanking my chain. You said it. Truth is the first casualty of war. And we have had this conversation before as well. Was it you or I who said that "I'm not even sure I believe my own B.S."?

Ray brought up Bagdad Bob, and I was actually thinking about him too, and I wonder where he is. He would make a small fortune in the States. I'd pay money to see him at a comedy shop. And I don't mean that unkindly.

I remain skeptical about the agenda that all news media have, especially the US ones. Omissions, bias, spins, lies, etc. are all alive and well in the media. It has become a sophisticated "art form", and ought to be included in the Oscar awards.
