Maybe college isn't such a bad idea after all. Not all kids are college material, even in this benighted day of "everybody goes." In fact, most won't graduate from College. My youngest was a 15 year old dropout who was a runaway. Ended up going in the Navy at 18. It would have been a good move for me to finance him into air-conditioning school, for instance. The guys running those kind of shops in So Calif do very well. He wasn't a bad kid, just hated school. There are a lot like that.
