I get my books at the library, too. I figure it saves me about $1,000 a year. I like the idea of getting clothes at Goodwill, gonna do some thrift store shopping this weekend.

I think the next big trend in the U.S. is going to be anti-consumption, when all the people with big debts realize how much money they piss away on stuff they don't really want or need.

Went clothes shopping at a thrift shop this morning and made off with quite a haul of clothes, the best was a Brooks Brothers rugby polo in perfect condition for $4. That sucker retails for $60. Thanks for the idea, I'm never buying retail again if I can help it.

Heck, I know Mormons who won't live in SLC. They prefer sunnier and less oppressive climes.
