Aggressiveness and toughness are still positive attributes in the ghetto, but they are not really healthy qualities for boys to have. Males tend to pass these things along to their own boys through violence, and to beat their wives and children as well. I personally don't think it's healthy to glamorize violence or wax nostalgically about it. I think boys growing up today who are not spanked, and who are comfortable expressing their feelings and crying when they need to are much healthier emotionally, really. Don't you?
