Thank you Karen! I think you and Justin have the same approach... he calls it Firstday which I just love. I just plugged in the key word birthday for each year, and then chose the posts around the correct date. The only thing that the early posts don't seem to have is responses, so you can't follow a chain of posts in the very early years. One of the things that seems to be happening is that we are hearing from many old friends. We are meeting some this weekend in Phoenix-- friends from law school whom we haven't seen in about 15 years. We have a bunch of trips planned. One in particular I am looking forward to is chaperoning several teenage girls on a Caribbean cruise in April. My goddaughter asked if I would do it with her mom and I was so flattered I said yes. Of course, her mom later told me that they figured we would be having such a good time talking that we would leave them alone. Which is probably true. But it's certainly not as flattering as originally appeared.
