No, he said there was a problem, but not a big problem and it was easily fixed if dealt with now in a not-so-drastic fashion if we started right away. In this case, he's saying that we can't afford to borrow trillions of dollars to start private accounts.

I, on the other hand, said there might not be a problem with SS.

Your usual crap. I've detailed, at least three times on this thread exactly what I think should be done:

1. Raise the FICA cap, maybe to $150K
2. Change the COL adjustment to an average of wage/price inflation.
3. Raise the FICA tax by 1% on both employer and employee sides.

Simple, and probably an overshoot.

I'm glad you agree with my statement: Nobody, and I mean nobody is buying this argument on private accounts.
