.....the conservative wants to do what is right...

Right by whose standard. What have the innocent Iraqis done to deserve the death and destruction that the US is wreaking on them? What moral standard is it to say we rather fight on the streets of Iraq and kill the innocents in Iraq. Is that considered the right thing to do?

I'd like to point out that Bush is no conservative.

Conservatives believe in small government and fiscal responsibility. Bush believes in big spending and reckless fiscal policies.

Conservatives look for ways to avoid foreign entanglements; Bush wants to bring "Democracy" to the World.

Conservatives believe in individual liberties. Bush wants to deny habeas corpus to American citizens on his orders.

Consider this: "I gave my first speech on the Senate floor in February 1997 in support of the balanced-budget amendment. Republicans used to believe in balanced budgets. Republicans used to believe in fiscal responsibility, limited international entanglements and limited government. We have lost our way." Senator Chuck Hagel (R-Neb), November 2003 Op-Ed piece.

As a lifelong Republican and former delegate to the RNC, I consider Bush and his supporters immoral. IMO, the GOP has lost its way.

Dumbya is no conservative. Genuine conservatives like Buchanan, Hagel, Ron Paul et al are highly critical of Dumbya. Besides, I have never heard of a conservative being defined as "one who loves to borrow and spend and borrow and spend and borrow some more and spend some more".
