cnn 'They're looking to the weather in California, an actual, you know, news story.'

don't remember what cable station showed calf. hillside falling down.. but it showed the same hill for about a week. I know calf is bigger than one house falling off the cliff but we got to see the same photo over the cable and national news until later in the week when some other photos became available. Same hillside was shown throughout the day only different talking heads at the base and different channels.

Was that one hill so news worthy? Wonder which is more news worthy jackson or the hillside with plastic covering it.

Choices, always choices.

CNN has been running a long segment today on a Reserve unit returning to Paris, Middle America.

I guess they made a bad choice of not showing it immediately after Bush's speech so it fit in Cori's window. Shame on them.

I knew FOX News would cover Bush's speech to the US Military in Germany this AM, and didn't even have to channel flip. And did see how much the Military guys and gals were excited to see President Bush and give a handshake, and take his picture. He looked very happy to be with them as well, and it showed.

Right after that, we did see the US plane land in Wisconsin with all but Specialist Matt (Keith) Maupin, who is still MIA. People clapped, and everyone was delighted to see them home again.

The reason FOX is doing so well is that most of us know we can count on them to show us the news of the day, and when an opinion show is on, they tell us that as well. The other MSM so called news channels mix the two items up....opinion and news are two different items.
