What is her social solution for those who cannot or will not save for themselves?

She favors the whole government safety net thingy and wants universal health care, too. She favors a more progressive tax structure to pay for it.

Before you jump on that, let me add that she is a very socially conscious and generous person. She contributes huge amounts to charity, usually in the form of appreciated stock. She gives enough for herself, you, and me several times over. She thinks that it's her responsibility to share her good fortune with the less fortunate, from New England, the tradition of Rockefeller Republicans. While I may not agree with her direction, I respect that she really walks the walk.
