I always wonder how the genetics of populations like that have been affected. Obviously members of a group who could not tolerate the diet would die off. It would be really interesting to know if the Masai genome is very different from other tribes eating a more varied diet. I recall some very interesting data on native Alaskan genomes, as related to diet. I will try to find the article.
