Hell, my partner (we are legally married and of the opposite sex) will not get any of my social security benefits or even any of her own. So where is AARP when I need them?

Unfortunately, I got a complimentary subscription to the AARP magazine from the lender when I bought my house. AARP is constantly profiling left-leaning celebrities and never seems to profile qualified conservatives like Tom Selleck, Charlton Heston, and so forth. Richard Gere types are the rule.

The AARP is anti-Bush, anti-gun, and dabbles in all kinds of subjects it has no business in. I wish it would stick to the affairs of retired people and let its members reach their own conclusions about political matters.

I know, I know, Social Security and other political topics are relevant to retired people. The AARP should present both sides. Hell, even the Costco magazine does a better job than the AARP of showing both sides of issues that have nothing to do with its main job.

Send AARP and e mail and tell them they are not speaking for you? Tell them if they keep up the propaganda, this is the last subscription they'll ever get from you!

Why pay an organization money that supports views opposite of your own?
