The Bush administration has come face to face with the reality of the failure of its policies.

I'm not quite so sure about that point. Frankly, I think the only "policy" that Bush had in the last four years was to get re-elected.

If the first month is a clue, I think his policy for the next four years is to see how many foreign and domestic issues he can really screw up big time.
