A move by Dell to AMD at this time would be potentially ruinous to INTC given the plight of the P4 and its derived heat emitting product lineup. Besides, without Fab 36 up and running, there would be no way that AMD could service the avalanche of new customers that would follow such a significantly symbolic move, the brekup of the Dell/INTC corporation. This latest move by Dell may turn out to be the riskiest move in its history, and more threatening to its well being.
