OK, I'll trade you a Long Tall Annie for a MoDo, seems fair. I remember when Maureen Dowd was funny, too bad she lost it. I liked her bit comparing the Bush family to the Corleones. (I think Dubya was Sonny)

When Bush Sr. was being interviewed just before the election, the interviewer asked him about Kerry's war protest days. Bush said he didn't appreciate how people spat on returning vets. He ended his comments by saying, "that I cannot forgive." Now didn't Don Corleone say exactly that somewhere in the movie? He had to have been aware of the Dowd columns and couldn't resist tweaking her.

I see that it isn't the Swift Boat Vets going after AARP, but the consultants. (gave me a start there, another MoDo misleading headline) John O'Neill and the Swifties didn't slime anyone, they simply made their case and John Kerry couldn't stand the scrutiny. Why did he not respond? Why won't he sign Form 180? Signing that form would certainly clear the air, but he won't do it.
