Have You Been Led Astray?

The medical and health establishment would have you believe that the use of low-fat foods, cholesterol-lowering regimens, avoidance of sunshine, diets high in cereal products, and the use of Big Pharma's "wonder drugs" are the keys to longevity and good health. However, modern society's biggest killers--degenerative ailments such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity--are NOT caused by a failure to implement any of the aforementioned strategies.

They are caused in large part by the modern abandonment of the dietary and lifestyle habits that human beings evolved on. For all but the last 10,000 years of its entire 2.4 million-year history, the human species consumed a hunter-gatherer diet comprised of fresh meats, fruits, berries, nuts and non-cereal vegetation.

Unlike today's sedentary lifestyles, the very nature of Stone Age existence necessitated a high level of physical activity. Paleolithic humans were not exposed to the myriad of unnatural stresses experienced by residents of industrialized societies, and their sleep patterns were in synch with nature's light-dark cycle. Those who lived in sunny climates received plenty of vitamin D-boosting sunshine, while those who lived in colder climates met their needs for this all-important substance by eating fatty vitamin D-rich animal foods.

Paleolithic humans did not use alcohol, cigarettes, nor illicit drugs.

It is not possible for us to return to the Stone Age, nor would most of us want to. Virtually all of us, however, can make relatively simple modifications to our diets and lifestyles that reflect the evolutionary requirements of our genome. The purpose of this web site is to help you rediscover what those requirements are, and to dispel many of the scientifically untenable myths perpetuated by modern-day health "experts".
