I wonder if anyone has researched how much a poison pill costs shareholders in short term value?

The mere fact big holders of the stock wanted it removed means people with money think it is holding back the value, at least that is how I read it.

Poison pills are great if you own a ton of shares and think they are under valued by factors of integer numbers rather than tens of percent. When I bought LRCX back in 1998 at $3.33 and $4.00, I sure didn't want someone like AMAT or NVLS to buy my shares away from me for $5. I wanted $30 or $60. Now that it is 7 years later, it will cost more than $30, perhaps $45 to $60?
