I completely disagree. There are plenty of people I would like never to see again, and if they showed up on one of my threads, I would ban them forever since they are 0 value added for me (actually they are negative values). We should have the right to govern a private space in which we interact if we want to, and SI allows users to create such private spaces. If you make yourself disagreeable, for whatever reason (valid or no, in your opinion), you must bear the burden of it. If a moderator bans you, for whatever reason, find somewhere else to speak. This business of insisting on talking to people who clearly do not wish to speak to you is just bizarre in the extreme. I realize some people have problems with rejection, but publicly carrying on about it on SI is not a healthy way to deal with what is essentially a psychiatric issue.

did you know i was banned by a liberal on the hurricane thread (along with RDW) simply because i was perceived as a 'conservative' on other threads?

how weak is that?
