You have it pretty much correct. Partisan Joe Wilson was appointed on the recommendation of his wife who was a CIA employee. Joe Wilson lied. NY Times published Joe Wilson's lies Someone leaked the identity of Joe's wife. The dots being connected made Joe's lies assume the level of credibility they deserved. ZERO. The press (especially NY Times) criticized the Administration for not appointing an independent investigator. The Administration appointed an independent investigator. The NY Times editorialists were subpoenaed, and are resisting telling the name of the leaker. Presumably, the NYT Times editorialists will receive contempt charges. The NY Times and other liberal partisan media will criticize the independent investigator for doing what they urged him to do.
