I don't believe anyone has quite the background that this guy does. "Singling out" is what happens to anyone strange enough to become a news story- something you have to realize when you put yourself out in the public spaces of the world. When you are really really out there, chances are people will notice. I don't think you can expect the world not to pay attention to you, when you are, in fact, in a job that calls attention to yourself. Many people's "lasciviousness" has been brought to our attention by the press. It's not really the lasciviousness in this case that is most intriguing(imo), though you, like Ann, are managing to ignore all the other interesting things about James/Jeff- and there are quite a lot of interesting tid bits that don't involve sex.
