Sioux Pal, I know that story very well. During the Vietnam War I went to the military stockade for reasons of conscience. I entered the military as a non-combatant conscientious objector and was later discharged from it as a full conscientious objector--one of a very few in the country able to actually attain that status from an active duty position. I ended up locked up for reasons for conscience when they ordered me to set up targets at a rifle range where the targets depicted Vietnamese people. The order was given to me in the knowledge that I'd refuse it, and based on that refusal they could then confine me. At my court-martial I was found not guilty for disobeying the order. So I know very, very well the story "Regaining My Humanity" you just posted.
