Tenchusatus, RE: "It's also interesting to learn how snobbish the "blue state" liberals get when they find out they're the ones supporting the "red states.""

A better word might be, "bothersome".

RE: "Ingratitude and antipathy are bipartisan"

True, but so is humor.

You've got to admit, some posts here are funny no matter what your political perspective - the post about AC and bunnies, being an all-time classic.

On a different but related note, we Democrats will need to make a decision over whether we want to continue funding Red States that sabotage the Democrats desire to assist people that are needy in Red States, as oppose to assisting Red States whose citizens vote for wars that ironically create deficits that prevent Dems from helping the needy - violating a Democratic political platform. The trick is, how do you help people who are hurting themselves by voting for war? I think we need to find out more about the tax payments in Red States - are they going to needy people, or instead are payments going to corporations in Red States that have fled Blue States taxation only to have Blue States indirectly pay their way as they reside in Red States.

Do you know if SI has a feature that allows you to keep a message in your Inbox? There are a few posts I read and wanted to reply to, but they disappeared after they were read because they depart the inbox after being read (annoying). There's no button a person can press to keep it in the inbox - I tried doing File into Inbox so it would remain in the Inbox but that's not a valid option. One post I'm looking for is the one you made - forgot what it was about but probably SS.

Regards,
Amy J

Amy, Another reason could be it's interesting to see what David's reaction would be when presented with his own brand of Republican logic. You've got to admit, it's interesting to learn he believes so strongly in income distribtuion.

It's also interesting to learn how snobbish the "blue state" liberals get when they find out they're the ones supporting the "red states."

Sorry, Ten, I felt that way before I found out about blue state largesse.
