It would be suicidal to pursue the course you suggest. If you wish to stroll through Harlem with a sign on your back that says "Rich, Unarmed, Whitey" that is your prerogative. If you wish to drag me along with you, I will resist. Our defense budget is near historic lows, and our welfare waste is at historic highs. We need to trim the rampant social spending. If Bush keeps behaving the way he did during his first term, then we may need the current budget levels. In fact, we may be at war with Canada soon. Otherwise, defense spending is too high and I will do everything in my power to get it reduced.
