I know you love Bush, but really, you can't support his fiscal management.

I don't love Bush or his fiscal management. I would vote for him ahead of anyone that is likely to get the Democratic nomination but that isn't the same as loving him, not even close.

The Bush revenue cuts have to be reversed, and probably much more to make up for the Bush budget black hole and to quickly relieve the international imbalances.

Or spending has to be cut, or at least spending growth has to have a strong cut.

I hate to say this, but what we may then need is another Newt/Contract with America.

One of the few times post WWII where there really was some serious restriction on spending growth. I hope something like that can happen again but I don't see it happening either under Bush or under his successor (Democrat or Republican). Perhaps I'm just pessimistic.
