Depends when you bought in. A good friend of mine has a time share in South Lake Tahoe and he loves it. Uses it and trades it, has for years.

My aunt and uncle have owned a timeshare for 25 years. They trade with other people and have travelled the world staying in timeshares - they recommend them highly.
