I don't think that anyone questions that Helen is a progressive liberal. She asked tough questions of all presidents. She never softballed like Gannon/Guckert did. Thomas has built a remarkable career as a journalist. She rose through the ranks to become UPI White House bureau chief. She's covered the day-to-day workings of the White House longer than any other correspondent. And she was the first woman to hold posts in the White House Correspondents' Association and the National Press Club. She left UPI in 2000 and now writes a syndicated column twice a week for the Hearst newspapers. Helen has an impressive resume of experience and she uses her real name. Gannon/Guckert is a johnny come lately, with no experience, a false name and is a gay prostitute with nude pictures of himself on the internet. Is this the kind of journalist that the rightwing is promoting? Apparently so with daily passes given to Gannon/Guckert for over two years...he was able to subvert the security check. In order to do that you need to be pretty well connected. Comparing Helen and Gannon/Guckert and trying to make hay out of their political difference of opinion only makes you (and jlallen) look like idiots. Orca
