I grew up in Florida, in my youth there were no parking meters anywhere, not even down town let alone on the Beaches. We used to ride Horseback in the surf, wow, that was fun, there were no buildings along the beach or even the intracoastal for that matter. Everything was pristine. Went away to the service, then college, then started my career in Pgh. When I came back over 10 years later, Buildings, PARKING METERS, no more driving on the beach and NO MORE HORSES or even DOGS on the beach. What a bummer. Damn NEW YORKERS came down here and DESTROYED EVERYTHING with their HIGH FALUTING IDEAS. Kids today got no where to go, no wonder things have gone to hell. jdn
