That is what the liberals argue. "Why doesn't Bush invade China, Iran...you name it." There are only some much resources to go around. Your comment was more than lack of enforcement of all laws. You made specific comments regarding dangerous criminals and no enforcement of dangerous criminals unless the public is outraged. That is pure bullshit and I expected more. Most people look around a see things look peaceful so the cops aren't doing anything. You go to sleep and think nothing is happening, but in fact cops from various agencies are gathering at staging areas in every city. They are preparing to hit targets and hopefully get the bad guys. I can't think of one night or day when this isn't happening. Since it doesn't happen next door to you, you never hear much about it and never see it at all. Next time when your post has a lot more to do with something else...post about that something else.

That entire statement is bullshit. I have worked in for years in several cities, one very poor with the highest per capita murder rate in the country. Nobody ignores gunfire anywhere. Don't tell me about the sayings you have heard or saw on TV. I do it for a living and have done it for 30 years. I could have retired 5 years ago but like many of my peers, we just keep on. BTW a Police Officer has an absolute duty to respond. He has no obligation to retreat. You may be getting your facts assbackward. I don't know what jurisdiction you are quoting, but I would like to know where the obligation to respond was removed. Police also will not respond to gunfire in a bad part of town in many cities unless its automatic weapon fire. Police don't have a duty to respond
