he is outside Ft Lauderdale and feels you need to be really in south Florida to enjoy warmer weather.

We visited and stayed with friends in Palm Beach Gardens, Key Biscayne, and Marco Island. If you like large crowds, traffic jams and long-lines 24/7 S Florida is the place to be. It ain't for me.

We also spent a few days each at Islamorada in the Keys and the Villages. The Keys are still fun...but after fishing and drinking there is nothing left to do and a decent basic home is over a million plus. The Villages is a very active adult community at very reasonable cost. I liked the fact that the folks there are really active and outdoors everyday.
