Agreed, the dividends have helped. Without an appreciation for half a decade it's been painful - hasn't been fun holding shares that haven't moved. Writing CCs during the downturn has helped by using premiums to accumulate more shares, but there's nothing to show for this effort when there's no appreciation. But the dividends are actually making a positive difference. If the increase in dividends doesn't negatively impact Intel's R&D but instead comes out of cash saved by not acquiring companies, then I'm all for it.

I'd feel a lot better once the stock gets back into the 30s.
