Bush does and says some things directly and other he says through his proxies. We know well that he want a constitutional amendment to ban "gay marriage." He has said that himself. If that is not gay bashing, then I wonder what is.

I don't have anu opinions about gays one way or the other. But I would say leave them alone like we Americans would do to other people. There is no need to bash them as well as there is no need to have gay rights activists.

Proposing a constitutional amendment to restrict rights of people based on sexual orientation is not gay bashing? What is it?

As you know the Christian Coalition, and other fundamentalist Christian organizations want Bush to be more restrictive about gay rights. They are Bush's base.

The amendment proposal to the constitution was a gift to the fundamentalists, and in exchange they supported Bush at the polls.
