In Jim Roger's book The Adventure Capitalist he said that he liked Turkey but did mention that it was very bureaucratic.

I have been to Turkey on many occasions and never had a problem with the Authorities or general population. The are democratic and, as a result, are free to express themselves. Some like the "west" however, the vast majority embrace western ideas. The strongly desire to better themselves. I have nothing but great respect for the people of this country.

Bureaucratic? You bet. Is there red tape in the US and Canada?

Corrupt? Well, to our standards yes, but if you want to put it in perspective try working in Azerbaijan for a while where the police trade the reg numbers of ex-pat vehicles so they can be pulled over for imaginary offences that require on the spot fines......

At the end of the day they want jobs and a friendly business enviroment. Don't be frightened by a vocal minority....just my bozo opinion ....

I hold ANO and will do my snake routine if given a chance....

ELD does not seem to be suffering too much...
