I'm trying to see where we disagree. I'm guessing you are for an unfettered ability to post pretty much what you want on the internet. I'm also guessing that you feel the ability to respond is sufficient check against lying, invasion of privacy and defamation. (Again, I'm not for restricting the ability of a consumer of shareholder to fight the big corporations.) If that's the case, I have to disagree. 1) Believe it or not, there are many people who do not have the expertise or the time to match an internet liar. Most people don't have the resources to fight lies, defanamation or invasions of privacy. 2) Lies, defamation and the invasion continues in place, if it is not removed, irrespective of an internet denial by the victim.
