QQQQ Analysis moving into week of February 27, 2005

Last Thursday proved to be the day of the big bounce of the QQQQ that I talked about in last Sunday’s QQQQ Analysis. The current chart reveals several important things to note for the coming week:

themarketwind.com

After the big move up on Thursday there was substantial follow through on Friday which triggered a stochastic buy signal in the buy zone. This signals a new cycle trend up for another short term run.

Intra-day charts suggest that we may see some mild profit taking at the open on Monday followed by a continuation of the up trend within the first fifteen to thirty minutes after the opening bell. (Check 5 and 10 minute intraday charts / stochastic) Any move down will be mild and protected by support at 37.44.

The short term trend is up and I think we will see a run to one or both upper targets on the custom chart that I drew. 38.14 is the first area of resistance and the first target. If that target is breached then expect the second target to get hit which is located at 38.45.

A close above 38.01 will make 38.01 new lower short term support.

The Linear Regression study below agrees with the $38.00 area as being the top of the normal trading range. Any move above the 38.01 - 38.14 area should be considered a break-out.

The above cycle should take two to four days to play out.

Just my opinion.
