Maybe. Or maybe you are drinking deep of the Koolaid. Given their recent attempts at stage managing the news, it wouldn't surprise me if there isn't a series secret agreements that if Syria and Egypt makes some appropriate announcements, we would ignore it if they actually did something else. The media is cowed enough to go along with them...

If democracy sweeps the region, so much the better. I am dubious for a number of reasons. But, like George Carlin used to say, "Hey, this could really happen!".

Or you can be a liberal and put your head in the sand, claim that you believe in world peace, but don't want to pay the price to achieve it. Then you can watch sweeping changes occurring the Middle East and claim that nothing has changed. You can watch as the dominos continue to fall and claim that Bush was wrong. Go ahead. You are starting to look silly.
