I agree about Priority Mail. We priced USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL for some stuff we sell and ship, and Priority Mail was definitely the best price. Also, you can order free boxes of several different sizes online at the USPS website. Takes a while to get here, though.

Teachout and Jarvis sound like Early Adopters. Not everyone junks their old technologies for new ASAP. We have both cordless and corded phones, VCR and DVD players, bar soap and liquid. They must not have young kids - I'd never give my 8 year old son liquid soap to wash himself with in the tub, I couldn't afford the rate it would disappear. :-) And downtowns? We have a great downtown. I like being able to walk to stores and parks, not have to get in the car and drive.
