This country is so far away from dictatorship, I am having trouble taking you seriously. As much as you don't like Bush, he's gone in 4 years. Nothing will change that. In addition, the very fact that you can post all of your dissent of Bush's actions on this thread without fear of consequences is proof that Bush is no where near approaching dictatorship status. You are amusing.

What do you call it? A congress ruled by one party.....the same one as the president. Now the CIA and FBI are under their thumb.

A media that is afraid to oppose the president. A president who pays the media to tell us what he wants. A president who starts a war on lies. A two party system where the back of the second party has been broken.

It is 5 months after the November elections, and the GOP gubernatorial candidate here has refused to concede the election. Instead, he is complaining and attacking every inch of the way. This is typical of the GOP's MO....doing everything they can to tire the opposition and take over.

We have a Patriot Act that was supposed to expire after a certain period of time but now is to be extended and strengthened.

I have seen how these people operate and they have a very loose and facile relationship with democracy. They are working over time to undermine all of are most honored institutions. And if they manage to pull it off, then in the end, they will go after individual free speech.

In the meantime, almost every aspect of my life and the lives of many millions of Americans are under the scrutiny of conservative watchdogs. I posted what the CWA thinks about Chris Rock hosting the Oscars tonite. I saw how the tenor of the Superbowl changed this year. They are forcing changes that I don't like.

How do you think it was in the Soviet Union? Do you think it was just the leaders, the KGB and the military who watched what the Soviet citizens were up to? Of course not......it was org. like the CWA that kept a tight rein on things and ensured the party standard was applied nationwide.

Am I sure that's what they are up to? Nope. Do we all have reason to be concerned? Yup.

Amusing? Not in the least. Amazed that its happening.....yup! I am glad you find it all so funny but I don't.
