Now they call 17, 880...........but to us old timers it's still 17,the old Nimitz Freeway. One night I was returning from a meeting in Berkeley when the car ahead of me hit the center divider.......I had to hit the brakes and swerve out of the way............then hope to hell everyone behind me could also stop in time.......It was something I won't ever forget! You are absolutely correct about having to be 100% focused!! I had some great times in the Catalyst............doing some freestyle dancin back when I was younger!! Ever kiss a Banana SLug? How about the Crepe Place? SOme of the funniest slogans were written on the walls in the bathrooms. YOu could stay in there for an hour laughin at what you were reading.!! :>)
