Don't laugh. I am convinced that the NHL strike is just a contrived 'slow drip water torture' type of scenario to weaken Canada before we go in for the final kill.

Common Hank this is Canada . Under Nafta the US gets everything they want and at the price they set . In the US it is illegal to dump your poop in the ocean from you luxury liner. In Canada it is not. So where does all the poop from the liner get dumped ? pretty much everything works this way. Thats my Canada. ralfphiee.

You statistics are way off. The vast majority of oil exports to the USA are from the middle east. Here are the 2002 stats: The top six countries (by percentage of total USA imports) supplying crude oil to the USA in January 2002 were: Saudi Arabia: 16.9% Mexico: 15.1% Canada: 15.0% Venezuela: 14.4% Iraq: 11.4% Nigeria: 5.9.% total percentage = 78.7% The rest is made up from other countires such as: Other countries exporting oil to the USA are: -Equatorial Guinea -Algeria -Kuwait -Qatar By the way, 86% of all middle eastern oil comes from Saudi Arabia and Iraq. So as you can see the USA imports over approx 30 to 35% of its oil from the middle east and this is why they went to war, the REAL reason. According to the most recent figures regarding crude oil imports, only 31% of the USA's imports came from Arab OPEC countries (Algeria, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia) info from: snopes.com
