I use market orders a lot, yes.

I also use limits and stops, but I find that with the typical online brokers, the supposed advantages of limit orders are eroded by the order flow.

As you say however, with stocks this is much less a concern.

If I were daytrading, I would probably use a direct access system or a specialized options broker to obviate these problems.
