I've addressed the folly of viewing bloody tyrannies like Saddam's and the USSR's as benevolent powers in an earlier post. Al Qaeda should have been struck surgically (imo) Yet didn't you argue against going into Afghanistan on FADG? That is my memory. I think the argument was - we knew where they were or something like that. actually get the folks responsible for 9-11. It concerns me that we have not done this. I think it really ought to concern you- but you are obviously ok with letting the 9-11 guys go free, Well we have killed or captured many of the people responsible for 911 - like Mohammed Atef and Khalid Sheikh Muhammed. The only two big names still in hiding are bin Ladin himself and Zawahiri. If you know for certain their locations, post it and I'm sure we'll go get 'em.
