I don't think they need nukes. Furthermore I don't think any of us can feel good about another country (especially one with ties to terror groups) having these damned things. What Iran needs to do is come to the table and negotiate in good faith with the US and Europe. We don't need to impose our values or religion on them. All we really need is an end to financed terror and a mutual agreement that neither we nor they will use force against the other. Now I think they could probably stand some better leadership but in the end this comes down to fear. SO many things in life are driven by fear and we can avert a disaster in the ME if we can just open up a dialogue. If Iran can become a good global citizen the past will be in the past. If their desire is to become a global power by means of WMD's they will be stopped and it will further destabilize the region. You can question Bush about why we invaded Iraq and thats fine. But you should also be questioning why on earth Putin just agreed to supply Iran nuclear fuel.
