<<For the same reason the Russians sell arms to China. To make money. Which is the same reason the US sends various technology around the world. To make money.>>

I know that but nuclear fuel that in the end is going to result in enriched uranium of weapons grade?

<<How about if we just have a real good hunch that they desire a WMD capability to become a regional power? Is that good enough to stop them?>>

Don't you think that will destabilize the region and throw off the balance of power? Don't you think there's a good chance Israel may react out of fear and start a domino effect? Wouldn't it be better if we were to negotiate with Iran and guarantee their safety to avoid the proliferation of WMD's that are controlled by a leadership that has financed terror? Pakistan already has them and with the way governments come and go in that region it scares the hell out of me. Historically speaking the ME has not been the most settled region on earth. I know we're the only country to have used nukes against another country but my hope is that horror will be the first and last instance in human history that nukes are used. Iran isn't doing this for energy needs - they have all the energy they need below them. And I don't buy that they're looking for cleaner fuel sources.

I don't have all the answers and we're not perfect but there comes a time when we have to start calling a spade a spade and not just criticize our own government and culture.
