Pretty informative data on new home sales today.

As FNM economists pointed out, pertaining to robust construction spending numbers released earlier this month, spending may not be the same as sales. Sure enough, inventory now stands at 5.2 months unadjusted, suggesting that construction spending went to unsold inventory.

are chemicals a buy with energy prices going higher -- energy is more of a direct input to chemicals than perhaps anything except transportation and utilities -- of course utilities get easier pass-through?
